# New Users and Returning Users Conditions

I have a doubt here. if a user has interacted with bot maybe 1 year ago and this user come to the bot again, is this user is returning user? may I know what are the conditions for Returning Users and New Users?

@Hasan_Nabil If a user has visited before, irrespective of the timeframe here, they’ll be considered a returning user. New vs returning users are identified based on UIDs. If a UID exists already, it’s a returning user.
