Message API to retrieve BOT response in text

Team, do we have API to get a BOT response to query. On the earlier platform we did had Message API. Is the same (or can be made) available? This was working and we had did a POC with Cisco IVR.

External IVR or any system capable to do TTS/ASR by itself, wants to consume our API and retrieve BOT response in text.
